Jim and Erin Hosken’s family of five planned to move from Arizona to Indiana for Jim’s new job. Without knowing the area, they eagerly took the recommendation of his new employer, MISO, to contact me for their home buying process. Before the move, the family flew to Indiana for a weekend to see houses.

I went to Jim and Erin’s hotel and picked them up for two days full of house hunting. While grandparents watched their two older children, Brady and Ben, their six-month-old, Emily, stayed with us. We saw 15 houses total, even breaking both days for a couple hours to give Emily a break.

Jim and Erin found two homes they liked, and the whole family gathered to take a look at both before making a decision. After running the comps, I found that the corner lot home on Catlin was a much better value for resale and location. Erin was very excited to learn that there was a park and pool across the street, which is perfect for entertaining her little ones. After talking with the seller, we learned that Santa visits the neighborhood, giving out sleigh rides and hot cocoa. How wonderful the Hoskens were able to find a great home just across the street from all the fun activities!

When I shared my Heroes Among Us program with the Hoskens, Jim was skeptical at first but soon realized the benefits. Jim grew up going to the American Legion with his granddad. He never considered joining himself until I told him it was the only qualification for my program. After joining the Legion, the Hoskens were able to save $2,685 with my Heroes Among Us program! Additionally, I negotiated with the sellers to pay $2,500 in closing costs. They had so many closing costs credits that they were able to use remaining money to buy down their interest rate!

Jim & Erin’s Testimonial:

My husband and I feel so fortunate to have found Lindsey for our home purchase in Noblesville. Our family recently moved to Indiana from out of state, and Lindsey was great from the very start at helping us find out dream home. Before we even met her in person, she got to know us and what our family needed in a home. We spent two days house hunting with her, and during this time she was very patient as we had our 6 month old baby with us. Lindsey was extremely knowledgeable about the different towns, neighborhoods, and surrounding amenities. Lindsey’s program affiliated with the American Legion was such a nice bonus for us, and it saved us a considerable amount of money. Lindsey has been there for us before, during and after the purchase of our home, helping us with many things after the closing – a true testament to her ethic and dedication to the service she provides. It’s great to have a realtor we know we can count on, and we are happy to recommend her to everyone!
